On Sunday, Mike posted an upbeat video toInstagramfeaturing a montage of photos with his wife as The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival continues in Gold Coast, Queensland. Professional equestrian Zara, 42, has served as an ambassador for the Magic Millions festival for the last 12 years and saddled up to play polo with Prince Harry’s andMeghan Markle’s pals Figueras and Blaquier.
While the annual Magic Millions carnival is best known for its Gold Coast Yearling Sale, the January equestrian festival packs 26 runs or related events into 10 days for an “unmistakably unique celebration of the Gold Coast region,” itswebsitestates. Some of the fun included a celebrity polo match on Sunday, where Zara saddled up to play against Figueras and Blaquier. WhilePrincess Anne’s daughter scored the first goal of the match for The Star Gold Coast, the couple’s Pacific Fair squad ultimately won, Magic Millions Polosaid.
Giving another glimpse of their trip to Australia, Mike shared a shot from the Magic Millions Racing Women Achievement Awards on Saturday. The parents of three were all smiles for the glam dinner, which was held to celebrate the success of women in the thoroughbred industry. Zara serves as patron of Magic Millions Racing Women and was on the judging panel for the inaugural awards.
A love of horses has run in the royal family for generations, andQueen Elizabeth’s granddaughter began pursuing the sport professionally after attending the University of Exeter. Her cousinsPrince Williamand Prince Harry are also keen polo players, and Harry has previously competed on theLos Padres polo teamout of the Santa Barbara Polo Club with Figueras after he and Meghan relocated to her home state of California in 2020.
Blaquier recapped the polo-playing fun at the Magic Millions carnival on Sunday onInstagram, sharing a snap of her laughing with Zara, along with an action shot of her, Zara and Figueras all jockeying for the ball.
“Nothing beats an amazing day at the polo field, with good friends. Not even the rain 😜” she wrote of the photos.

Another celebrity guest — and equestrian! — in attendance wasElsa Pataky, who serves as the Magic Millions Global Ambassador for Showjumping.
“So great to be back to one of my favourite events,” she captioned anInstagramcarousel of photos from the polo day, including a picture with Figueras, Blaquier and Zara (still saddled up!) after the match.
Figueras and Prince Harry first met at a charity match benefiting the prince’s charitySentebalein 2007, and the Argentinian polo starpreviously told PEOPLEthat Harry’s passion instantly made an impact.
“From day one, I saw how committed he was to his charity,” Figueras told PEOPLE at the Sentebale Polo Cup in Aspen, Colorado in 2022. “Fast forward 15 years, I’ve been to Lesotho with him a few times, and I’ve seen what great work the charity does and how important it is for a lot of kids, how committed he is, how much he really cares about it.”

The Sentebale ambassador and his wife were guests at Prince Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018, and they have remained close to the couple following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s move to the U.S. after stepping back as senior members of the royal family in 2020.

While Meghan and Blaquier have supported their husbands from the sidelines at the Sentebale Polo Cup before — most recently attending together in England in 2018 — neither made the trip to Asia. According to Figueras, Meghan was on Prince Harry’s mind as he hit the polo pitch in Singapore!
“We miss our wives very much. This was a very short trip, although it’s a few days, it’s a lot of traveling for 24 hours in Japan and a few hours here, but we miss them. We wish they were here,” Figueras toldHello!magazine at the time.
