ISP Indianapolis Sergeant John Perrine said in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the woman’s vehicletraveled “about 300 yards"before coming to a stop near a house.

The vehicle was later found “severely damaged” and lying on its side about 25 feet from the home near Corrill Street and Wyoming Street on the north side of the interstate, ISP said in its press release.
The woman was unresponsive when first responders arrived at the scene, according to state police. Despite receiving emergency medical aid, she was eventually pronounced dead.
Troopers also located the driver of the pickup truck and the vehicle in question on the eastbound side of the interstate.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing. The Marion County Coroner’s Office is assisting with the investigation, according to ISP.
