Tristan Thompsonis taking the steps to right his wrongs and apologize toKylie Jenner.
Thursday’s episode ofThe Kardashianssaw Tristan, 32, attempting to mend his relationship with Kylie andKourtney Kardashian Barkerfor the first time after he repeatedly cheated on their sister,Khloé Kardashian.
His sit-down conversation with Kylie, 26, was perhaps most important as one of Tristan’s past affairs was with Kylie’s then-best friendJordyn Woods, and the two never had a proper conversation about the fallout.
Before their meeting, Khloé, 39, spoke with Kylie to make sure that the beauty mogul was open to having the chat, especially since Khloé had to break the news to Tristan a few days earlier that “Kendall [Jenner]doesn’t like you very much.” Upon hearing this, Tristan said he was determined to meet with the rest of Khloé’s siblings who he hadn’t yet spoken to and clear the air.
“He’s wanting to talk to you guys,” Khloé told her younger sister. “There doesn’t have to be closure but how can there be any form of progress if no one’s willing to talk?”

Kylie agreed to speak with Tristan but admitted, “It’s confusing for me because I actually really like Tristan as a person, so I have to separate him as a person and then the things that he’s done to you. There’s a sense of distrust.”
“Like who are you? Which one is it?” Khloé agreed. “That’s the biggest mindf— of all of this. You’re all these great f—ing things, but you couldn’t f—ing be great to me?”
In a confessional, Kylie added, “I have a forgiving personality and I appreciate that Tristan takes my daughter out with True and has a good relationship with her, so I think that after his mom passed away, it wasn’t the right time for us to talk about things so we just never did. So I think that it would be a good thing for us to talk about everything that happened.”
Later in the episode, Tristan came over to Kylie’s house and the two sat down to hash out the past drama and its fallout.
He continued, “It’s a hundred percent on me but I wanna say I’m sorry and I feel bad about it. The fact that I came with my poor decisions and being a f—ing idiot, and being young and stupid, I wanted to say I’m sorry again for that just because life is so short and it sucks because even though we made our mistakes, sometimes it’s hard to come back from situations like that.”

Kylie appreciated his candor, and offered insight into her relationship with Jordyn today.
“I think I was so co-dependent with Jordyn that I could’ve never imagined my life without her,” she explained. “We would’ve probably still been living together, and I think she needed to grow without me, I needed to grow without her. But you know, Jordyn and I are cool. We still talk and catch up, we’re good.”
Tristan was glad to hear that and asked Kylie to share his sentiments with Jordyn because “she went through a lot during that time too … and I’m the reason why that relationship went a different direction.”
“I’m a f—ing idiot,” Tristan added, as Kylie noted, “You do some dumbass s— … why, Tristan?”
Kylie went on, “I think you have such a good heart and good energy. To know you is to love you, I think your spirit and everything … so it’s confusing because some of the s— you do is f—ing crazy.”
Tristan agreed and acknowledged, “I think a lot of it was selfish and not really understanding the value of good people.”

In a confessional, he acknowledged, “Kylie’s been there for my family and through the worst of times and her life got altered because of my actions, so I wanted to be accountable and say my apology to her and Jordyn, so hopefully she’ll relay that message to Jordyn because it affected a lot of people.”
To Kylie, Tristan said, “I want to gain back the respect of my family, so that’s what I’m trying to do, one day at time.”
While Kylie acknowledged that it was “hard to forgive the things that you did to Khloé,” she emphasized how “I want to move on from that.” Tristan responded, “I’m not in a position to ask for anything. I think the only thing I can continue to do is prove myself and be who I am and then I think overtime … try to gain everyone’s trust back.”
“You want your family to be comfortable around you, you never want someone to look at you with a side eye or question your character or integrity as a human being,” he continued. “That’s my motivation. I never want my daughter to go to school and talk so great about me, and then a little kid comes and says, ‘Oh, well your dad is this, this, this,’ and she’ll be embarrassed. And that’ll break my heart because she views me in such high regards. You wanna just be a good influence and role model for them, so they can be proud of you … and say, ‘That’s my daddy.'”
The NBA player added, “Having the three most important things in my life — basketball,my mom, family— all of this taken away from me in a year’s span is the biggest wake-up call you can get in your life, so I’m trying to right my wrongs as best as I can.”
The two ended their conversation on a high note, as Kylie expressed her gratitude to Tristan for coming over and apologizing. They then shared a hug and said they loved each other before Tristan headed out.

Khloé and Tristan began dating on and off in 2016. He cheated on her multiple times, including once just days before their daughterTruewas born in April 2018.
In February 2019, news broke that Tristan had hooked up with Jordyn. Weeks later, Jordyn shared her side of the story in atell-all interview, claiming that Tristan kissed her at an afterparty at his house on Feb. 17. Though she adamantly denied having sex with him, she admitted that the next day, she told Khloé and Kylie that she had been at Tristan house butdidn’t disclose what had happened between them.
As a result of the scandal, the Kylie Cosmetics founder begandistancing herselffrom their friendship. Eventually, Jordyn began to make mends with the Kar-Jenner family, with Khloé even revealing sheheld no resentmenttowards her younger sister’s friend.
In July, Kylie and Jordyn werepictured out togetherfor the first time since the fallout of the scandal. A source told PEOPLE at the time that the restaurant outing wasn’t the first time they’ve reunited — just their first sighting together in public. The duo had been spending time together over the past year, away from cameras, as they worked on their friendship.
“Jordyn reached out to Kylieto apologize for how everything went down and let her know that she loves her,” another source said.
As for Khloé and Tristan, they gave their romance another shot, but it was later revealed in December 2021 that Tristan had fathered a child withMaralee Nicholsaround the same time that Khloé and Tristan were secretlyexpecting their second child via surrogate.
Khloé officially ended their relationship months before the birth of theirsonTatum in August 2022 and has since emphasized repeatedly that shehas no intentionof getting back together.
