Queen Elizabethmade a surprise appearance alongside her heirs as the much-anticipated Platinum Jubilee celebrations came to an end on Sunday. After the Royal Standard was raised at Buckingham Palace, signaling the Queen had arrived, the monarch, 96, stepped out onto the balcony and took in the celebratory atmosphere. The national anthem, “God Save the Queen,” played as the family sang along. Red, white and blue fireworks went off as George looked up at his great-granny and she looked back at him fondly....

Queen Elizabeth‘s winter break has officially ended. The 93-year-old monarch was seen at the King’s Lynn railway station early Tuesday, leaving her Sandringham estate to return to London. The Queen traditionally stays at Sandringham through Feb. 6, the date her father King George VI died in 1952 and she became the new monarch. Her appearance comes as her eldest grandchildPeter Phillips announced that he and wife Autumn Phillips are divorcing after 12 years of marriage....

More than3,700 greater one-horned rhinoscurrently reside worldwide, according to the 2021 edition of the IRF’s signature report, which is released each September. In the early 1900s, the rare rhino species' population dipped as low as 100. “The continued growth of the greater one-horned rhino population is encouraging and the result of tremendous collaboration between the governments of India and Nepal, local and international organizations and the local communities that value their rhinos and other wildlife as national treasures,” said Nina Fascione, executive director of IRF, in the report....
