The pregnant star, 30, tells PEOPLE the couple first got an inkling they could be expecting “after a couple of weeks of traveling.”
The news was surprising for Gibelli and Horstmann, 34, but getting reactions from their family and friends was a “priceless” experience for the pair.
“No one was expecting it, but their reactions have been spectacular and we’re so grateful for the love and support. We shared the news with Blake’s family in Colorado and then Giannina’s family in Florida,” they explain.

So far, Gibelli says that “pregnancy has been a dream!”
“Zero to no sickness, I’ve been able to travel and all I want to eat is fruit,” the mom-to-be shares.
“I genuinely love being pregnant. It’s made me step into my femininity and I never thought I would enjoy it this much,” she continues, as Horstmann teases, “And I love her new boobs!”
Initially, Gibelli says that she “struggled” with “my identity and how this would change me,” but she found solace in “talking to women in my life and doing what makes me happy.”
While most of their loved ones think the pair have a girl on the way, “we don’t officially know yet.”
“We’d already hear, ‘You’re going to be such a good mom and dad,’ I think because we both give off nurturing vibes,” Gibelli notes. “Yet, there’s obviously still that feeling of ‘Am I going to do it right?’ No one gives you a manual and there is so much we don’t know, but we’re excited to do this together as a team.”

In May, Gibelli shared some sweet thoughts about Horstmann as the two celebrated a pair of friends getting engaged.
“I have a heart on for you (& my lovely besties engagement day, I didn’t think I could smile any bigger or love any harder before this day 🤍),” she wrote.

In January 2022,sources confirmedto PEOPLE that the couple’s romance flourished on the set of the competition seriesAll Star Shore.
Months later, Gibelli opened up about the relationship, tellingE! News, “I’ve never watched theBachelorfranchise or any of that so I didn’t know who he was. He seemed familiar to me and he just flashed his big ol' smile at me and that’s how I met him right on the beach.”
Horstmann was first introduced to audiences as a contestant onBecca Kufrin’sBacheloretteseason. After ending the season as a runner-up to Kufrin’s now-ex-fiancéGarrett Yrigoyen, he caused quite the stir onBachelor in Paradisein 2019 due to his pre-show entanglements withCaelynn Miller-Keyes,Kristina SchulmanandHannah Godwin.
As for Gibelli, she gained recognition for appearing onLove Is Blindin 2020. She met and fell in love with contestantDamian Powers, to whom she got engaged. However, the couple later split.
