Here you have it . It ’s not the super - HD panoramic image that everyone is eagerly awaiting for , but this is the first high(ish ) resolution image of the 3 - mile - mellow Aeolis Mons , commonly know as Mount Sharp .
These photos are being taken not by the primary cameras , but the chance cams ( Hazcams ) , which will avail scientist to drive the scouter .
The mountain is Curiosity ’s primary target . It will bring out a sight from the story of Mars and offers a great chance to find traces of life on the red-faced major planet .

The rover is on firm ground and ready to roll out . In fact , the Earth’s surface seems very smooth .
NASA is giving a press conference now . They have confirmed that everything is ok in the rover too .
