Kimberly Peirce ’s Carrie is go to quell pretty true to the Stephen King Koran . The first ever teaser prevue for the horror remake premiered at New York Comic - Con showing one big difference from the 1976 Brian De Palma jerk . This clip Carrie is get going after the metropolis .
Before Chloe Moretz , Julianne Moore , Kimberly Peirce and producer Kevin Misher took to the stage at NYCC , they presented a shortsighted little vexer for Carrie . Here ’s what we saw :
An eagle - eye shot cooking pan over a colored city . There ’s a voiceover of a valet muttering about destruction and saying , “ I do n’t want to say it as a conspiracy , but … ” The camera Pan over what can only be an sure-enough gamy shoal , the whole affair is in flaming . The windows are bursting with flames , but the camera does n’t stop there ; it moves forward . Fireballs of debris litter the street , and a fille utter in a different voiceover , “ Her Mother was a fanatic . I do n’t bed how she lived with her . ” The camera rapid climb to street grade , showing more and more destruction — the Ithiel Town is in flames . Finally , it finish on a daughter standing in front of a balefire in the town center . It ’s Carrie . She ’s covered in blood and looks completely freaked out . The End .

EDIT : Oh I forgot , someone is peach over the whole teaser . I trust it ’s Julianne Moore crooning the vocal her character sings to Carrie in the book . But that ’s not confirmed .
So , apparently , this rendering of the cinema is going to be a stack more similar to the book where the town was also destroyed on Carrie ’s disastrous walk home after prom . This also explains why therecent promo shotsreleased of Chloe show her blooming and in the street . Girl is going to burn this urban center to the priming coat .

After the short tormentor the panel lead off fielding question . How involved is King with the scene ? According to Kevin Misher , not really at all . plain King has a “ hand off ” policy . However , they are be after on screening the movie just for him ; hopefully he wo n’t have any serious note .
What was it like filming the infamous hog pedigree dumping vista ? Moretz explicate , “ It was probably the most play for about the first two weeks of it , and then after that it was sticky and wet and freeze . But it was amazing . The line of descent became part of who you are . I got used to fare home every nighttime covered in blood line . ”
And there was so much parentage . Both Peirce and Moretz noted that there was wet blood , fire lineage and dry blood line on bent at all time . But the director explained that the notorious blood prospect was n’t as well-heeled as it count . They shot around 50 blood dumps and we ’re not sure if that includes the trial ladder . Benjamin Peirce list off the doubtfulness one must adress whilst dumping ancestry on a youngster , “ Most of the clip you ’re going to miss . Is it going to gain her on the day ? How heavy is chilling and how big is mirthful ? ”

But the crux of the film is the relationship between Margaret and Carrie . Moore elaborated that we might get to see more of Margaret ’s backstory in this movie ( but did n’t delve into specifics ) . “ The reference is rooted in isolation , ” Moore explain . “ When she was pregnant , she think the child was a cancer and delivered alone … The moment Carrie starts moving away from her , she begins to parent her . But it comes from a station lovemaking . ” We ca n’t expect to see these two actress together .
As for direct references to the first moving-picture show , no one spoke when asked if the infamous rip screen would be returning . Make of that what you will .
Oh also , Moretz released this bit of viral marketing . If you call this identification number 207 - 404 - 2604 you will get a member of the White mob on the phone . So give it a jingle and you ’ll be connected to either Carrie or her mother Margaret .
