Silas Merritt “Si” Robertsonis on the mend after a hunting accident.On the latest episode of theDuck Call Roompodcast, co-hosts Justin Martin and Phillip McMillan recalled how theDuck Dynastystar, 76, fell during a recent hunting trip in Arkansas.Martin shared that the incident happened when Robertson — who is better known to fans as Uncle Si — was in a hurry to get off their boat, saying, “Typical Silas Robertson, he’s in a dang hurry to get out of the boat and into the Polaris, he fell. He added, “He didn’t want anybody to see that he fell. The problem is you’re covered in mud now, like we know you fell.“Martin recalled that Robertson tried to reassure the men, saying, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m fine. Yep, no problem, yeah.”However, his behavior raised some concerns for the group. Martin shared, “We get back to the clubhouse, and breakfast is done and we’re looking up and there’s no Si. He’s just sitting outside in the cold. She says, ‘Phillip, we’re heading to the ER,’” he said, adding that “my heart just dropped.”On the call, he found that Robertson’s “oxygen level was really low” and he was directed to the ER from a walk-in clinic.When he arrived at the hospital, McMillan recalled, “I said, ‘What is going on?’ And I figured he would start laughing and talking. [But] no, he said, ‘Man, I’m in a lot of pain.’ He said, ‘I fell duck hunting and I think I broke some ribs.’ He always thinks it’s worse than it is.”They did X-rays and blood work and “everything came back good,” according to McMillan.
