Your short stories are niggling perfect jewels , but how can you get a magazine editor to fall for them ? Fantasy Magazine ’s Cat Rambo give some invaluable advice in an interview with Redstone Science Fiction .
Amongthe other great bitsare Rambo ’s description of her process of read through the C of myopic fiction submissions she have every month :
One of the things I will do is read a batch of stories without making judgements and then go back the next mean solar day and see which I recollect well . A narration needs to have heart and emotion , beyond strong writing .

And her advice to aspire scant - floor author :
Be pertinacious . It ’s not enough to write , you have to get the stories out and in front of editor . Research market place and discover the places that number novel ones . Do n’t take rejection in person , but get the tale correctly back out there .
operate on your craft . Read good material and render to figure out what makes it good . Experiment . Get a respectable writing group where you ’re not the most talented one there and learn from critiquing and being critiqued .

It ’s well worth translate the whole thing to find out what she ’s witness too much of ( redone fairy story , among other things ) , what she ’d care to see more of ( fantasy that divvy up with class divisions ) and what she thinks the most interesting thing about steampunk is .
