In its latest stunt the robot ophidian is used to research a collapsed , pancaked construction and hunt for survivors . Without legs or wheel the golem can easily flick and flop over any kind of scratchy terrain , and as is demonstrated in this clip , it can be mechanically deployed by a rescue dog into spaces the animate being ca n’t fit . But what ’s even more telling is thatTexas A&M Universityapparently has an entire fake ruin town calledDisaster Cityfor conducting tests just like these .
