This weekend at my one-year back thou tent party I brought up the shooting challenge with my friends and the conversation snowball into a full - on back yard water brawl . This was my personal best-loved shot but there were many more gems .

When I read about this challenge , I immediately scrounged up a few balloons in the bonce , recruited my fiddling sister ( she ’s 10 , I ’m 13 ) , and lay out up the tripod by our backyard fencing . It took a while for us to count on out how to make the balloons burst forth on impact ( we had to patch up for normal latex balloon instead of water balloons since we could n’t convince anyone to go to the store … confide me , normal balloon are a LOT harder to make soda ) , but at last we realized we could just chisel and not tie them . With the help of my mummy ’s throwing subdivision , I was capable to capture this blastoff using a Canon Rebel T4i , 18 - 135 millimetre outfit lens at f5 , ISO 6400 , with a shutter speed of 1/800th of a second . A little cropping and voila !

The mo I heard about this challenge , I knew a pee fight was in our near future tense . My housemate and I bewilder a couple masses together , ran to the store and grab some water balloon along with some H2O guns . We went to the Mungo Park up the street and the competitiveness soon commence ! We had a lot of fun with this challenge and I ’d eff to give credit to the people visualize for being a part of it : Ariana van Dyck ( my sister ) is the one have all the fun while shooting the piss gun , James Gold ( my housemate ) is the not - so - favorable one being drenched , and Asia Williams ( not pictured ) throw the water balloon which you see blow up on contact . This image was shot with my Canon Rebel SL1 fitted with a Canon 60 millimetre lens ( 96 mm equivalent ) . It was shot at ISO 500 , with an aperture of f/2.8 , and a 1/4,000 shutter speed .
